The International Society for Folk Narrative Research (ISFNR) Committee on Charms, Charmers and Charming aims to encourage the study of verbal charms, the practice of charming, and the practitioners of charms and their clients.

The 9th Conference of the International Committee for Charms, Charmers and Charming is called “Charms, Charmers and Charming: Innovation and Tradition” and will be held at University College Cork, Ireland, Friday 6th – Sunday 8th May, 2016. It will be hosted by the Departments of Folklore and Ethnology, Early and Medieval Irish, and Study of Religions within the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences (CACSSS), University College Cork.
